2018 China Dealer Meeting kicks off with Hangzhou tour
Having been with Powersports Business for only two months, I was ecstatic to be offered the opportunity to travel to Hangzhou, China for CFMOTO’s 2018 China Dealer Meeting.
After over a full day of travel that included a 13-hour flight followed by a 3-hour bus ride, I, along with dealers from around the country, arrived at our beautiful hotel in Hangzhou, exhausted but ready for the week.
We kicked off the first full day with a guided tour through the Lingyin Temple, a centuries-old Buddhist temple in Hangzhou. Stunning pagodas and beautiful architecture contain centuries of history, and it is no wonder these religious grounds are a popular tourist attraction.
Next, we headed to West Lake. Serving as a world-renowned tourist attraction, West Lake is the setting of numerous literary works penned throughout history in honor of its elegance and beauty. We took a boat ride around the perimeter of the lake and saw everything from beautiful pagodas rising from the lush greenery to shadowed mountain peaks in the distance. We then walked through a nearby garden and were even treated to a lesson in kung-fu by our wonderful tour guide, Steven.
Though exhausted from jetlag and lack of sleep, I was thrilled to experience the beauty and majesty of Hangzhou. With our next two days set to take place at the CFMOTO headquarters, I was thankful to get a taste of Chinese culture before buckling down and getting some work done.
