Indian Motorcycle recalls 4K Scouts

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Indian Motorcycle is recalling about 4,185 Scouts. The recall is for certain 2017 and 2018 model Indian Scout, Scout Sixty and Scout Bobber motorcycles. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) may have air left in the system after the assembly process. Air in the ABS can reduce brake effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.

Indian will notify owners, and dealers will bleed the front and rear anti-lock brake system, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in July 2018. Owners may contact Indian customer service at 1-877-204-3697.
