Kawasaki issues fire hazard recall

Kawasaki has announced it is recalling approximately 6,600 units after it found that the fuel gauge retainer on affected models can collapse and leak fuel, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall affects a wide range of units, including utility vehicles, recreational off-highway vehicles and all-terrain vehicles. The affected models include: 2017 Mule UTVs, Teryx and Teryx4 recreational off-highway vehicles, and the Brute Force 750 ATV.

The VIN range for the Brute Force 750 ATVs: JKAVFDL11HB506155-  JKAVFDG10HB512832

The VIN range for Teryx off-highway vehicles: JKBRFCH17HB501204-JKBRTCG10HB507422

The VIN range for Mule UTVs: JKBAFSL19HB500313- JK1AFCR14HB531308

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact Kawasaki for a free repair. Kawasaki is contacting all known buyers directly.
