Report: Polaris paid $132M in recall-related warranty costs in 2016

Polaris Industries, Inc. reportedly paid $132 million in recall-related warranty costs in 2016, which it disclosed in its annual report for shareholders.

In addition to the amount paid, the company has also increased its warranty reserves by another $194 million in 2016, according to an article in the Star Tribune. “Analysts said they expect Polaris to give investors updated warranty cost estimates for 2017 when the company reports first-quarter earnings results,” the article said. 

Polaris’ Q1 call will take place at 9 a.m. CST on Tuesday, April 25.
