PSB Halloween takeover brings awards
Powersports Business assistant editor Kate Swanson won the highly sought dessert trophy for Team PSB on Monday during EPG Media’s Halloween Chili, Dessert and Costume Contest.

In her acceptance speech, Swanson noted that since she’s a millennial, she figured everyone would win a trophy anyway, but was coming to terms with the fact that she, alone, was the winner of this contest.
“I enjoy our Halloween party every year and thought I’d finally take a chance entering the Dessert Contest. I am extremely pleased with my win and hope that I can top my recipe next year,” Swanson said.
PSB national sales director Allison Gruhn, the mastermind of All Things All Hallow’s Eve, was supreme as Edward Scissorhands, and the “Best Costume” trophy sitting in her office proves it. She takes over the award from PSB managing editor Liz Keener, who won for dressing up as the actual trophy last year in a Hall-of-Fame-worthy effort.
“It’s no surprise to me that we at Team PSB keep collecting Halloween trophies,” editor in chief Dave McMahon said. “It’s just about the most important day in the office, and the perfect time for our squad to show a different face.”
