U.S. Triumph dealer awarded

Triumph Motorcycles recently presented its global dealer awards during the Global Dealer Conference at the Excel Center in London, England.

Southern California Motorcycles, based in Brea, Calif., was the only United States dealership, and only dealership outside of Europe, to receive Triumph’s lifetime achievement award for “Outstanding Contribution to the Brand.”

Nick Bloor, global CEO of Triumph Motorcycles, and John Bloor, owner and founder of Triumph Motorcycles Ltd.’s Hinckley-based operation, presented the awards during a special recognition ceremony at the gala dinner.

“It is so overwhelming and I am so grateful that our hard work and commitment has gotten this recognition! I am the luckiest man alive to have the best staff and customers imaginable!” said owner Tom Hicks.

Hicks, who believes in a celebration of motorcycling through a quality product, education and customer service, started Southern California Motorcycles as Southern California Triumph in 2000.

The dealership most recently won Triumph North America’s Number One Dealer Award for the eighth year in a row. It carries Triumph, Ducati, Suzuki, Victory, Slingshot, and Royal Enfield, as well as an ever-changing selection of pre-owned motorcycles.
