Harley dealers take part in 110th festivities

Though Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee doesn’t official kick off until Thursday, Aug. 29, many dealers are getting a head start as early as this weekend. A few out-of-state dealerships are hosting Harley execs, as they head into Milwaukee, while others closer to the Motor Company’s headquarters are hosting six-day-long extravaganzas.

110th Anniversary Celebration at House of Harley-Davidson in Greenfield, Wis.

Wednesday, Aug. 28-Monday, Sept. 2
House of Harley will close off four blocks of West Layton Avenue for its party. Themed Days include Military Day, Law Enforcement Day, Firefighter Day, Casa de Harley and Women Riders Day. Monday, Sept. 2 concludes the celebration with a ride to a Milwaukee Brewers game. The event also includes charity fundraisers, rides, ping pong tournaments, live music, about 150 vendors, a cyber café and a go-go bar.

Wednesday, Aug. 28-Monday, Sept. 2
The dealership will be open 24 hours a day for the 110th. Activities include the world’s largest beer bong, female mud wrestling, Wisconsin’s largest wet T-shirt contest, a bikini bike wash, swim-up bikini bar, burnout pit contests, a dunk tank, mechanical hog riding, the Jack Daniel’s National Touring Experience, body painted models, a massage tent, the Roadhouse Lounge and VIP areas, indoor and outdoor bars and food options, a cigar lounge, a biker art show, a vendor village, beer and cocktail samplings, a HOG hospitality suite, RIDE Entertainment restaurant court and dining patio, the 1 Wheel Revolution stunt show and live music.

Wednesday, Aug. 28-Monday, Sept. 2
National vendors will be on hand, and guests enjoy food, beer, wine, a bikini bike wash, an auction, kids activities, live music, more than 200 bikes in stock and 75 percent off obsolete licensed merchandise. Thursday, Aug. 29 includes a dealer ride to the 110th Kick-Off at the Harley-Davidson Museum that departs at 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 28-Monday, Sept. 2
The dealership will feature nine acres of vendors, two music stages with 34 bands, the Ives Brothers Wall of Death, appearances by the Jack Daniel’s Girls, a raffle for a 2013 FLD Switchback benefitting the MDA and fundraising for the MDA. Hal’s will also have booths at Veteran’s Park and the Summerfest Grounds.

110th Celebration Ride Home at Woodstock Harley-Davidson in Kingston, N.Y.

11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25
Harley-Davidson COO Matt Levatich, assistant treasurer Lynda Johnson and Director of Business Process Development Brain Wort will join the dealership for lunch and a celebratory anniversary cake. Customers will have the opportunity to win door prizes and play Crack the Safe for a chance to win a new motorcycle. The Harley-Davidson officials and Woodstock Harley-Davidson owner Bill Nugent will lead a ride toward Milwaukee at 2 p.m. The trip will include many stops at dealerships along the way, with the group reaching Milwaukee on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
