Q3 2013 Powersports Business Dealer Survey
The Powersports Business quarterly survey of powersports dealerships in the U.S. and Canada is the most comprehensive survey of its kind in the industry. The Q3 2013 survey, prepared in conjunction with RBC Capital Markets, includes responses from 147 dealerships from 44 states and Canada, both metric and V-twin. For this survey, 80 percent of the respondents are single-store locations. Nearly half of the respondents generate $1 million to $5 million in revenue in a typical year. The Q3 2013 survey includes questions related to revenue; business conditions; inventory levels; new and pre-owned unit sales; P&A sales; service sales; F&I sales; customer traffic; customer buying interest; and more. In addition, the survey includes results from questions related to the dealership's top 3 selling side-by-side, ATV and motorcycle brands, along with year-over-year growth for Q3, expected growth for the next 12 months and the quality of the 2014 product lineup relative to competitor product for each of those brands.
