Texas dealership to donate SXS to veteran’s organization

Freedom Powersports is donating a 2020 Can-Am Defender to Veterans Xtreme Adventures (VXA), an organization which helps Texas-area veterans reintegrate into society after proudly serving their nation. The donated vehicle will be a key tool to deliver on the organization’s mission to provide outdoor recreational therapy such as fishing, hunting, and trail riding to veterans in need.

The giveaway will take place at an event this Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, from 9am-2pm at Freedom Powersports – 201 W Thompson St, Decatur, TX 76234. Josh Derden, President of the VXA will be in attendance to answer any questions about the organization.

In addition to the donation presentation, there will be a host of activities, including:

  • Napolitos Taqueria Food Truck serving free tacos and burritos
  • Local radio station “The Ranch” will be on-site from 10 am – 12 pm with their own giveaways
  • Giant Jenga and Cornhole

Military veterans are tough and capable – a perfect fit for the Can-Am Defender lineup of side-by-side vehicles. The Defender is a go anywhere/do anything machine that will enhance the epic adventures provided by VXA by getting veterans and loads of gear to the final destination dependably and comfortably, regardless of the terrain. 

VXA provides adventures that celebrate the unique comradery and connection that all veterans share. They work to provide customized experiences based on specific needs and interests. VXA also connects veterans with a network of resources, including hunting and fishing guides, healthcare specialists, job placement and training experts, and professional counselors all at no expense to the veterans.
