Canadian distributorship changes ownership, stays in the family

Leduc, Alberta-based UTV Canada, a distributor of aftermarket accessories for side-by-sides and ATVs, has been purchased by CEO Stacy Nehring, making it a second-generation family-owned business.

Stacy’s parents, Reid and Cathy Nehring, began the company in 2007 out of a 400 square-foot space on the family’s farm. Stacy, along with her sister Tara, joined the team in 2010 and together they grew UTV Canada into the successful organization it is today — a company built on family values, with a vision to help Canadian riders transform their ride and experience more. The Nehring family has made a huge impact on the Canadian powersports industry and their legacy will continue on through UTV Canada under Stacy’s direction.

“I am so proud of this company and what we were able to accomplish as a family.  I am ready to slow down and enjoy life a little more, and that means stepping away from the responsibilities that come with being an owner. I trust Stacy completely, and know that under her guidance the company will grow in ways I never dreamed.  I’m excited for UTV Canada’s next chapter,” Reid Nehring said.

“As the baton changes hands, I want our customers and suppliers to understand that it’s business as usual. We’re seeing a lot of exciting things happening within the company, and the industry, creating new opportunities and building new partnerships. I feel very privileged to be taking UTV Canada into this next phase,” Stacy Nehring said.

Among the brands distributed by UTV Canada are Rogue, Scosche, PRP, Razorback Offroad, SuperATV, Rival Powersports, Jemco, HMF Performance and Gibson Performance Exhaust.
