Latest acquisition gives dealership group 42 locations

Make that 42 locations for RideNow Powersports. The dealership group has acquired War Horse Harley-Davidson of Ocala, Florida, with help from George C. Chaconas of Performance Brokerage Services. RideNow dealerships today boast more than 17,000 new and pre-owned units for sale to customers.

RideNow Powersports is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, and operates dealerships nationwide. It is the largest privately-owned motorcycle and powersports dealership group in the U.S. Already operating two dealerships in Ocala, RideNow Powersports has hoped to acquire War Horse Harley-Davidson for over 10 years.

Established in 1984 by Steven Lamb, the Crystal Group, previous owners of War Horse H-D, began as a Chevrolet dealership in Homosassa, Florida. Today, Crystal Group owns and operates four new car dealerships in Homosassa and Brooksville offering Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Ford and Lincoln, as well as Crystal Harley-Davidson, a new state-of-the-art dealership in Homosassa.

Following the sale, Mark Tkach, CEO of RideNow Powersports commented, “We have worked with George Chaconas of Performance Brokerage Services for almost 15 years. He recently helped us identify and acquire War Horse Harley-Davidson. This was an ideal strategic acquisition for us to continue to grow our presence in Florida as it is practically across the street from our dealerships in Ocala. The dealership name will remain the same and will operate at its current location at 5331 North Highway 441 in Ocala, Florida 34475.
