Laurn Rice, longtime Lightspeed exec, passes away at age 47
It’s with sadness that we bring news of the Aug. 21 passing of longtime Lightspeed executive and industry good-guy Laurn Rice at the age of 47.
Rice progressed his way through the ranks of the industry-leading Lightspeed DMS, based in Salt Lake City. He was named general manager in 2007 of ADP Lightspeed, and by 2010 had been promoted to vice president of ADP Lightspeed and was named an Industry Leader by Powersports Business. Most recently he was vice president at Lightspeed parent CDK Global Recreation.
Powersports Business staff members past and present were grateful of time spent alongside Rice at industry events, mostly because of his positive outlook on the life. He facilitated and backed much of Lightspeed’s early support of dealer training events produced by Powersports Business, including exhibiting at and later sponsoring the Profit Xcelerator dealer training seminars.
