Anonymous donation to bring city five new police bikes from local dealer: report
An anonymous donation was recently made to the city of Erie in the amount of $100,000. The donor, who the mayor’s administration won’t identify to the public, specifically requested that the money be used to purchase police motorcycles.
While the city council supported the acceptance of the donation, council members are researching policies in other Pennsylvania cities related to accepting donations from the public to ensure that similar gifts in the future will be handled in a proper manner.
