Report: Malcolm Smith injured in golf cart accident

AutoWeek from Crain Communications brings news that Malcolm Smith, 77, “is recovering at home after breaking a hip in golf cart accident in Death Valley.”

The Jan. 25 accident occurred during a charity golf tournament. Smith was behind the cart when his friend and playing partner accelerated the golf cart while it was in reverse. Smith was behind the cart, and the impact knocked him to the ground.
