MOMS Foxboro to host third annual Winter Bash

The calendar says it is January, but for motorcyclists throughout the Northeast, the 2019 motorcycle season starts with the third annual MOMS Winter Bash, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26 and 27, at MOMS Foxboro (1000 Washington St.) in Foxboro, MA. The expansive MOMS dealership will become a motorcycle showplace with the region’s largest selection of bikes, accessories, and riding gear, vendor displays and product demonstrations, and even electric balance bike demo rides for youngsters.

The family-friendly MOMS Winter Bash will include a food truck food court, live music, and a charity auction with all proceeds benefitting the Joe Andruzzi Foundation and Crossroads School in Marlborough.

“Three years ago, skeptics told us a motorcycle event in winter wouldn’t work, but the MOMS Winter Bash has been a huge success because riders’ passion never ebbs,” said MOMS President Joel Wheeler. “Motorcyclists now put this event on their calendars so they can meet up to talk about riding, plan trips, and see the latest, greatest gear.”

Area motorcycle groups such as the Mass Bay Victory Riders and Indian Motorcycle Riders Group will have displays at the MOMS Winter Bash to help riders connect with fellow enthusiasts from throughout the region and plan summer outings. And Michael Dapper, author of the new hardcover book, “Victory Motorcycles 1998-2017,” will be on hand all weekend to sign copies of the full-color book.

Hours for the MOMS Winter Bash are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Jan. 26, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Jan. 27. It’s the perfect time to check out the dealership’s expanded Winter Bash inventory of new and pre-owned motorcycles of all types, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, and more.

On-site financing is available for every rider, regardless of their credit rating, winter layaways are available, and new riders can register for motorcycle training courses from Streetwise Cycle School, with classes taught on-site at MOMS once riding season arrives.

Activities in the popular Kids’ Korner will include face painting, a balloon animal artist, and the opportunity for kids to take a demo ride on a Stacyc electric balance bike.

Manufacturers’ reps from companies such as Fox Racing, HJC, Rinehart Racing, Helmet House, Brooks Leather, and Choko will provide product displays and demonstrations, and will offer individual custom fittings.

Among the great items featured in the Charity Auction are tickets and experience packages for Boston-area sporting events, special activity opportunities, collectibles, motorsports vehicles, and more.

Silent auction bids will be accepted at MOMS Foxboro throughout the week leading up to the Winter Bash, and a live auction to close the bidding will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Additional details about the 2019 MOMS Winter Bash will be updated on the MOMS Facebook page, and at www.MOMSouth.com.
