MIC hires motocross TV director Meyerson as membership advisor
Corey Meyerson, former director of partnerships at MX Sports Pro Racing, has joined the Motorcycle Industry Council as membership advisor. Meyerson worked with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series more than seven years, developing strong relationships with sponsors, vendors, media and others across the industry.
“Corey will give our membership division a boost of new energy,” said Tim Buche, MIC president and CEO. “The rapport she built with aftermarket and trade businesses will not only help the MIC recruit and retain members, it will help foster a common purpose and beneficial relationships among all our members. Her experience developing events and marketing strategies will further help the association as she works with various committees within the MIC and with the MIC’s trade show, AIMExpo.”
At MX Sports Pro Racing, Meyerson oversaw NBC Sports coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series. Her responsibilities included evaluating weekly race programming, and managing events, sponsorships and experiential marketing initiatives. Meyerson also worked on series merchandising and managed team relationships with vendors.
Before joining MX Sports Pro Racing Meyerson was manager of motocross for NBC Sports Group and an associate producer and, prior to that, she worked at ESPN as a production assistant in the X Games.
“I see tremendous potential for membership growth at the MIC, making this such a thrilling time to join the association,” Meyerson said. “I’m eager to start on ideas I have for programs that could help recruit new members and that would excite existing members. I know I can help the MIC build dynamic and successful relationships within the industry that will benefit all.”
Meyerson, a graduate of Chapman University in Orange, Calif., will remain in Knoxville, Tenn., for the time being. The location allows for easier travel to many member offices in central and eastern regions of the U.S.
