Iowa motorcycle dealer reflects on successful career

Bill Phillips Sales in Council Bluffs, Iowa, took on many successful franchises over his long career, including Suzuki in 1966 and Moto Guzzi in 1968 before adding Kawasaki and Arctic Cat in 1975, according to a story in The Daily Nonpareil. He sold the business in 1994, and will be parting with some of his collection at a property auction this weekend.

“We know everybody and everybody knows us. My customers were my friends. We’ve had a lot of fun living right here. I had a lot of good, loyal employees for many years,” Phillips told The Daily Nonpareil.
