Dealership to raffle off GoldWing for pediatric brain cancer

Genthe Honda Powersports, a Southgate, Michigan-based dealership, announced that it has donated a 2018 Honda Goldwing Airbag Edition, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to fund pediatric brain cancer research through the ChadTough Foundation, named after Chad Carr, the grandson of legendary Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, who passed in 2015 due to an inoperable brain tumor.

There will be 1,000 tickets sold nationwide at $100 each, and the winner will be chosen at the second annual Champions for Change Gala on May 19, hosted by the the ChadTough Foundation.

“The Honda Motorcycle Division has for over 30 years been a very active contributor to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Foundation. When we became a Honda Powerhouse dealer a little over two years ago and we discovered this philanthropic outreach we immediately began to research ways in which we could help,” said Richard Genthe, preisident, Genthe Honda Powersports. “Being from southeast Michigan the story of Chad Carr and his battle with DIPG is well known, as his grandfather is the legendary coach, Lloyd Carr, of the 1997 National Champion Michigan Wolverines.”
