MOMS gearing up for Winter Bash sale and expo in Mass.
While the Northeast shivers and shovels its way through another fierce winter, the staff at MOMS, the Northeast’s leading motorcycle retailer, is acting like it’s the middle of summer and preparing for its second annual Winter Bash motorcycle sale and expo. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27-28, at MOMS Foxboro (1000 Washington St. in Foxboro, Massachusetts).
When Boston’s big annual motorcycle show was canceled last winter, MOMS sprang into action and filled the void — and then some — with its inaugural Winter Bash. Motorcycle riders from throughout the Northeast and beyond flocked to the Foxboro store to shop for bikes, get all their apparel and accessories — and to trade riding stories and trip plans for the year ahead.
“There’s no off-season for riders thinking about motorcycling, and Winter Bash is the ideal mid-winter event to rev up anticipation for the upcoming riding season,” said MOMS President Joel Wheeler. “We stuck our neck out last year, investing in the event after others in the market said an off-season bike show doesn’t work. It exceeded all our goals and planted the seeds of expectation so riders have had Winter Bash 2018 on their calendars.”
Because product inventory is at its highest in the pre-season, Wheeler said, Winter Bash offers riders the year’s best opportunity to get the exact bike they want, equip it with the latest accessories, and freshen up their riding gear with a new jacket, helmet or gloves.
Plus, Winter Bash is a great way to kick off the celebration of MOMS’s 45th anniversary year. Winter Bash at MOMS Foxboro runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 28.
Along with great product selection and pricing, Winter Bash features hourly bargains, give-aways, live music, and food from the area’s top food trucks. It’s an event for all ages, too, as it includes a Kids Korner with face painting and balloon animals for youngsters.
On-site financing is available for every rider, regardless of their credit rating, winter layaways are available, and new riders can register for motorcycle training courses from Streetwise Cycle School, with classes taught on-site at MOMS once riding season arrives.
Motorcyclists will get to “ride” on a motorcycle simulator provided by MASS RMV, VizWrapz will offer its distinctive custom Victory bagger wrap kits, and Living Off the Slab will offer information about its motorcycle adventures, riding tips, and reviews.
Additional details about the MOMS Winter Bash will be updated on the MOMS Facebook page, and at www.MOMSouth.com.
