ERX Motor Park to celebrate 10th anniversary with three-day event

ERX Motor Park will kick-off its year-long, 10th anniversary celebration on Feb. 1-3, 2018 with a three-day event that will focus on the two things that brought the motor park into existence: snowmobile racing and family fun.

The highlight of the three-day event will be on Friday, Feb. 2 as the Inaugural ERX Eliminator will bring the top Pro and Pro Lite Snocross racers in the world to Elk River, Minn. for a head-to-head showdown and a $20,000 purse. The ERX Eliminator will also feature 120 and 200 class races, a vintage snowmobile show, autograph sessions and a concert following racing.

More than 30 pro-level riders from the major circuits in Snocross racing will be competing in a double-elimination program starting at 5 p.m. Drivers will qualify during an afternoon session, with the Top 12 automatically moving into the main event. The remaining racers will attempt to fill the final four spots in the Top 16 bracket by finishing first or second in one of two, ten-person qualifying races. The winner of each of these races will take home $1,000 in prize money and have a chance at the $10,000 pay-out at the end of the night.

The ERX Eliminator will be bookended by an ERX Grassroots Snocross series race on Thursday night (Feb. 1) and a free OEM-demo day on Saturday (Feb. 3) that will allow riders of all ages (4+) the opportunity to ride on the ERX track on the brand and sled of their choice (Arctic Cat, Polaris and Ski Doo).
