Dealership fire causes $2.5 million in damages

An extensive fire at dealership in Escondido, Calif., has reportedly caused approximately $2.5 million in damages, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Moto Forza, a multi-line dealership, will remain off-limits until the owner’s insurance company assesses full damages and the walls are shored up.

The fire was reported at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and appears to have started in the back portion of the building in the service department. The showroom up front was not burned by the fire, but suffered water and smoke damage.

“As soon as it breached the ceiling and got some oxygen, it was game on. It was an inferno,” said Battalion Chief Art Holcomb.
