Burglaries reported at multiple dealerships

A pair of dealerships were burglarized in the past couple weeks, and a third was damaged during an attempted burglary.

Yamaha of Las Vegas was burglarized on Monday, Dec. 19. Eight people were seen on video surveillance breaking into the dealership by smashing through a window with rocks before stealing eight motorcycles, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. To read that report, click here.

In Lexington, Kentucky, Man O’War Harley-Davidson was broken into after a man pried open the front door. After he set off the security alarm, he stole only a T-shirt but dropped it in the dealership’s parking lot while running away. LEX 18’s story about that burglary can be read here.

Tampa Bay PowerSports in Florida was damaged after an SUV rammed into the front of the dealership Friday in a burglary attempt. The manager didn’t think anything was stolen, as the would-be thieves ran off after an employee working at a business nearby walked over to see what was going on.
