Technical college adds powersports program

Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, of Mt. Gay, W.Va., has added a powersports program to its fall semester offerings, according to an article in The Logan Banner.

The powersports technology program will offer “interactive classroom instruction and hands-on experience in the technical and mechanical repair of sophisticated recreational outdoor vehicles such as motorcycles and ATVs.”

Dr. Robert E. Gunter, president of Southern West Virginia Tech, said in an interview, “We have an opportunity to provide the industry in our community with world-class technicians. Southern continues to look for ways to enhance the workforce in our region.”
