Portland’s mayor rides Buddy Scooter to work (video)

Portland mayor Ethan Strimling has found a creative way to avoid summer traffic on the peninsula…he’s riding a Genuine Scooter. According to an article in Bangor Daily News, Strimling bought a Stella scooter last fall.

Strimling commented: “The more we can encourage people to reduce, reduce, reduce, I think the less congestion we’ll have and [it will be] better for the planet.” He added that the scooter is a part of a diversified transportation future for Portland and will help reduce his carbon footprint.
