CrashedToys opens new facility in Texas

CrashedToys, an online auction specializing in the sale of used and repairable powersports vehicles, and a division of Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPRT), announced the opening of a new 30,000-square-foot retail-entertainment-auction concept in Dallas.

CrashedToys of Dallas will serve as a unique destination for used and repairable motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, PWC and high-end exotic cars. At the new location, both the public and dealers will have access to hundreds of clean and salvage title vehicles. Some vehicles need a little work and others are ready to hit the road.

“CrashedToys has always provided an amazing selection of specialty vehicles, and the Dallas location takes the auction experience to a whole new level,” said Copart and CrashedToys Chief Executive Officer Jay Adair. “Dallas is an innovative market, and we are proud to provide a fun place to hang out and search a great selection of potential buys.”

The custom-built retail space, located at 7777 John W. Carpenter Freeway, is now open and boasts an outdoor pavilion with areas for live entertainment surrounded by graffiti murals painted from local artists and fences built from repurposed concrete and wood from throughout DFW.

The expansive space was designed for the ultimate auction experience where anyone can view vehicles in person while bidding online on mobile devices. Members who are unable to attend in person have the option of bidding online from the convenience of their offices and homes. The venue will be open six days a week with auctions and events occurring every other Saturday.

Powersports and exotic car enthusiasts are invited to experience the courtyard and main showroom. Vehicles will be available to bid on at CrashedToys.com and there are a variety of “buy it now” options in the warehouse and showroom. Custom CrashedToys t-shirts are also available for purchase.

“We are thrilled to bring the first-of-its-kind CrashedToys experience to Dallas,” said Trey Cluck, CrashedToys of Dallas general manager, and motorcycle dealership veteran. “Anyone is welcome to come hang out, have a cold beverage and enjoy events in our indoor showroom or outdoor pavilion.”

The first auction for the Dallas location was held on Saturday, March 26, with more than 50 motorcycles and other powersports vehicles up for sale. The next sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, with the Grand Opening event being held on Saturday, April 23.

This is the third CrashedToys location in the US but the first retail-entertainment-auction concept. CrashedToys is also located in Minneapolis, MN and Davenport, IA and its inventory can also be found online.
