Dealer buys 90K square foot building due to rising e-comm sales

On Monday, CC Powersports owner Chris McCarty bought a former mall property and parking lot from Green Mountain Finance Fund, LLC, according to an article on newsandtribune.com out of Jeffersonville, Ind.

McCarty plans to turn the vacant mall into a 90,000 square foot fulfillment center to support its growing online sales, which make up approximately 75 percent of the dealership’s business. CC Powersports is currently located at 700 Kopp Lane in Clarksville, Indiana, which will remain open for business.

“We had outgrown the space there in Clarksville and just starting thinking about what we were going to do…I started looking around and had really kind of thought of moving to Louisville, getting closer to the UPS facilities because we do a lot of e-commerce,” said McCarty. Interior renovation is to begin soon and McCarty plans to have the space up and running by summer.
