Harley-Davidson dealership hearing postponed

Amir Jarrah, owner of Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson in Great Neck, N.Y., has asked to postpone the Dec. 15 hearing on the move of his dealership to New Hyde Park, according to an article in The Island Now.

The architect behind the proposed Harley-Davidson store, John Notaro, said that Jarrah will ask to postpone the hearing in order to conduct studies on how the dealership would affect traffic, noise and property values in the surrounding area.

These studies are a result of opposition from residents at a previous hearing in October. The village board asked Jarrah to commission the studies and present them at a second hearing, which was originally set for November 17.
