Distribution company hires Greg Blackwell as president

U.S.-based powersports distributor MTA Distributing has named Greg Blackwell president. MTA is a subsidiary of Motovan Corporation, the privately-held, Quebec-based company.

Blackwell is an industry veteran who has worked for Pirelli/Metzler North America, LeMans Corporation and most recently KTM North America. Blackwell most recently had been hired as VP of PG&A at KTM North America earlier this year. Prior to his role at KTM, Blackwell had spent 14 years with the LeMans Corporation, parent company of Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties, as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Known as an ATV/UTV tire and wheel company, MTA has turned to Blackwell to help elevate the company’s status as a motorcycle and snowmobile parts and accessories distributor. He will be based out of MTA’s Corona, Calif., location.

“The decision to join MTA was an easy one,” Blackwell said. “From the moment I met the owners, I believed in their values and the vision they have for MTA; which is different than what I have done in the past.”

“We will continue to develop MTA’s strong ATV/UTV business but at the same time, the market needs to be aware of the other products we carry. The ultimate goal is to offer dealers and vendors a unique experience. I’m very excited about this challenge.”

Motorcycle Tires and Accessories LLC (MTA) distributes parts, garments and accessories for ATV/UTVs, motorcycles as well as snowmobiles, to thousands of dealers nationwide. MTA supplies dealers through its distribution centers located in Choudrant, LA; Corona, CA; Perrysburg, OH; and Greenville, SC.
