Polaris files patent for electric Victory

Polaris has filed a patent for the name Victory Charger with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, according to Green Car Reports.

The patent is for “electric motorcycles and structural parts therefor.” The patent filing follows the Jan. 15 announcement that Polaris has acquired electric-motorcycle manufacturer Brammo Inc.

Polaris has said it will begin manufacturing electric motorcycles in the second half of 2015 at its Spirit Lake, Iowa, facility.
