Ducati to exhibit new Scrambler model at AIMExpo

News release

The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) today announced that Ducati, the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer, is the latest OEM to join up for the second annual event scheduled for October 16-19 in Orlando, Florida. Ducati will take advantage of the AIMExpo platform to introduce its newly unveiled Scrambler motorcycle to the North American marketplace.

Representatives from Ducati were among the thousands who attended the ground breaking inaugural AIMExpo last October. Experiencing its celebration of motorcycling and gauging the exceptional value associated with a North American event that reaches the trade, media and consumer audiences of the powersports market, Ducati confirmed their involvement for this year’s AIMExpo to leverage their presence within one of its most important consumer markets, with an important new motorcycle.

Until its official unveiling this week, the Scrambler had been shrouded in secrecy across the globe. Now, AIMExpo attendees will have an opportunity to witness firsthand the Scrambler’s North American debut. Ducati’s original Scrambler from the 60’s and 70’s was hugely influential in the company’s initial success in America. With the launch of the new Scrambler, the model is reborn as a modern representation of the legendary motorcycle.

Ducati will showcase the Scrambler as well as its full line-up of models, including the Hypermotard, the newly released 2015 Monster 821 and Diavel, as well the its flagship superbike, the 1199 Panigale. The exhibition will take place in booth 1301 on the floor of AIMExpo at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). The brand’s inclusion marks the first Italian OEM to join the ranks of the worldwide brands participating at AIMExpo, further enhancing the event’s global presence.

“We’ve been working closely with Ducati since the inception of AIMExpo and given a highly anticipated new motorcycle like the Scrambler, the timing was ideal for them to join our expanding platform,” said Cinnamon Kernes, AIMExpo Show Director. “Their involvement is another sign of the growth and increased involvement we’ve earned from the industry in just our second year, and the opportunity to add another North American debut greatly enhances AIMExpo’s position as the premier motorcycle trade and consumer show in the United States.”

AIMExpo is now the largest show of its type in North America with exhibit space growth of nearly 50 percent, and the number of exhibitors quickly approaching 500. Pre-registration of dealer/trade attendees is triple last year, and advance ticket sales to consumers are more than double 2013. Interest continues to grow each day and companies looking to take advantage of the AIMExpo platform should contact an AIMExpo Account Manager toll free at 855-MCShows (855-627-4697).
