H-D dealership to make $4.5 million investment in move

Woodstock Harley-Davidson in Woodstock, Ill., is making a $4.5 million investment into its move to a building less than a quarter-mile from its current facility.

The dealership is moving from a 44,000-square-foot building with a 12,000-square-foot outbuilding it leases into a facility that has housed a Sears Outlet store, reported the Northwest Herald out of Crystal Lake, Ill. Dealership owner Vroom Vroom LLC will pay about $2.8 million to acquire the new 91,000-square-foot site and will invest $1.5 million in renovations. The move will allow the dealership to expand and to cease use of a 77,000-square-foot storage space it has been renting.
