Construction begins on Polaris’ first European factory

Construction was set to start early this month on Polaris Industries’ first European production facility.

The 33,000-square-meter (about 355,000 square feet) factory will be located in the Wałbrzych Economic Zone Invest-Park of Opole, Poland, reported Property Magazine International. Panattoni Europe has been commissioned to build the facility, which will include 25,600 square meters (more than 275,000 square feet) of production space. The factory will produce ATVs and side-by-sides for the European market, Polaris has reported. Limited production is expected to start in the second half of 2014 after the completion of the facility in February 2014.
