New N.H. ATV club hopes to expand trail system

A new ATV club in New Hampshire, the Kilkenny Trail Riders, has received a state grant to start building a new trail network it hopes to eventually link with the state’s sprawling “Ride the Wilds” system that includes more than 1,000 miles of trails in the northern part of the state.

According to the Kilkenny Trail Riders website, the group is currently planning the project, which will include fencing, bridges, trail building and signage along the route. Project planners are hoping to provide direct trail access to local businesses along the route.

The club is currently seeking individual donations and corporate sponsorship to help purchase signs and trail maintenance equipment to build and support the ongoing project.

New Hampshire has a large network of ATV trails and riding areas throughout the state, including the popular Jericho Mountain State Park in nearby Berlin.
