Couple buys third Harley dealership in Ohio

Mike and Franscene Davis have added a third store to their portfolio of Harley-Davidson dealerships.

The Davises recently purchased Liberty Harley-Davidson in Akron, Ohio, from Ernie and Rosemary Passeos, who had owned the dealership for 26 years, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. After the purchase, Liberty Harley-Davidson was renamed Rubber City Harley-Davidson, and the Davises announced plans to relocate the dealership to a former Circuit City building. The new 40,000-square-foot facility, which is expected to open by the end of the 2012 riding season, will feature a 15,000-square-foot showroom, a service area and an employee training center.

The Davises also own Adventure Harley-Davidson in Dover, Ohio, and Mad River Harley-Davidson in Sandusky, Ohio. Passeos plans to focus on his used car business, Carriage Traders, in Boston Heights, which is at the former Liberty Harley-Davidson North dealership he closed last year.
