Spader data shows October dealer inventory below 2010 levels

Data from Spader Business Management shows that powersports dealers had an inventory value in October that was below their year-ago inventory value. Unit inventory of Spader dealers had a value change of minus-6.6 percent in October 2011 compared to 2010.

Company sales were up 12 percent, and net profit of Spader dealers was up 69.4 percent in October 2011 compared to October 2010.

The points change from October 2010 to October 2011 among Spader dealers is as follows:

Company gross margin: minus 0.2 percent
Net percent of sales: 1.5 percent
Personnel expense ratio: minus 1.8 percent
Variable expense ratio: minus 2.9 percent
Fixed expense ratio: minus 1.7 percent
