Marlin’s Device Mounts

OMF Beadlock

Specifications — OMF Performance Products Inc. has released its Super Lite Drain Hole Beadlock. The beadlock is built from 6061-T6 aluminum plate. It has pockets and ejection ports that are machined around the beadlock ring, which decreases the weight, adds a custom style and allows water, mud, sand and other debris to drain out. On an OMF 12-by-6 Outlaw Type R wheel, the total weight is 8 pounds.

Benefits — The beadlock can be purchased already attached to a new wheel, or the rider’s wheel can be sent to OMF to have the beadlock installed. Custom sizes, bolt patterns, styles and colors are available.

Specifications — Adaptive Technologies has launched seven new AdaptivMounts.

Benefits — The Horizontal Control mount is compatible with motorcycles with 5 millimeter vertical pinch bolts 30 millimeters apart on the brake or clutch assembly, which includes most BMWs. The Mirror Hole Mount works with motorcycles with an 8 millimeter diameter hole intended for a mirror. That includes some European and metric motorcycles, such as BMWs and Ducatis. The Chrome Handlebar Mount fits standard handlebars with diameters up to 11?4 inch. The Reservoir Mount is compatible with most motorcycles with rectangular brake reservoir covers. The Stabilizer Mount Type G works with GPR stabilizers, while the Type S is compatible with Scotts stabilizers. The sport bike Mount Type D fits most Ducatis.

Kerker Stout Slip-On Pipes

Specifications — Kerker Stout’s 4-inch Slip-Ons are available for 2010-’11 FLH and FLT models. The non-tunable pipes have a newly developed core. The streamlined, internal tapered, billet aluminum end cap with recessed fasteners come pre-installed.

Benefits — The Kerker Slip-Ons use a more traditional core that targets a higher spread of power providing more mid-range RPM through redline, according to the company. They provide 9.6 hp and 9 torque gain over stock as measured on the 2010 FLH. They produce 97 dB, which is 5 dB over stock.

Teryx Convertible Cab System

Specifications — Curtis Industries has introduced a modular cab system for the Kawasaki Teryx. The Rapid Convertible System uses thermoformed TPO material for all body panels, which offers low-temperature impact resistance, heat deflection and dimensional stability, according to the company. The system is available in black, and the components — including the base frame, roof, windshield, doors and rear panel — can be purchased separately.

Benefits — The system allows for the transformation from an enclosed space to an open air ride in 60 seconds, according to Curtis. The roof, windshield and rear panel feature pin-to-slot connections and a heavy duty quick-release hatch. The windshield quickly vents and has been tested at full speed open or closed. An optional wiper kit also is available.

Brake Master Cylinder Guard

Specifications — Moose Racing’s Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard protects brakes from rocks and other damaging debris. Fabricated from mild steel and expanded metal, it comes in powder-coated flat black.

Benefits — The guard is lightweight and designed not to interfere with boot placement on the footpeg. Installation is easy, and all required hardware is provided. The guard is made in the United States.

Mini Electric Speedometer

Specifications — Drag Specialties’ mini electric speedometers with odometer/trip meter are programmable with any sending unit that sends 3,000-90,000 pulses per mile. Each features a polished 1.87-2.4-inch diameter stainless steel housing with a black or white face. The speedometers are compatible with all 1995-2003 OEM sensors and most aftermarket sensors.

Benefits — The 12-volt backlit display has been designed so it’s easy to read. The digital odometer has two resettable trip meters, and a remote single-button switch that allows for quick changing between the odometer and trip meter.

Chrome Switch Box Housings

Specifications — Big Bike Parts has released Show Chrome Accessories’ Switch Box Housings. The chrome pieces are designed to replace the aluminum OEM handlebar switch housing on Suzuki’s 2007-’11 C50 and 2008-’11 C109 Boulevards. It is recommended they be professionally installed.

Benefits — The housings reuse all the existing switches with a simple retrofit. They’re available separately or as a pair.

Z1R Phantom Helmet

Specifications — Z1R Helmets has released its new full-faced helmet, the Phantom. It features an aerodynamic design, eight wind tunnel designed vent ports and oval-round interior.
