NMMA: PWC registrations up through August

Personal watercraft registrations were up 7.3 percent through August, according to the New Powerboat Registrations Report from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). 

The PWC trend is similar to other powerboat segments. Tow boats were up 8.3 percent year-over-year; cruiser registrations grew 7.9 percent; pontoons increased by 7.5 percent; outboard boats were up 5.2 percent; and larger boats of 27-feet and greater grew 8.8 percent. Overall, new powerboat registrations increased 5.3 percent year-over-year through August.
