ITP building digital presence, website plans

ITP Tires 2017 update

ITP is keeping its product lineup on the move in 2017, focusing on several utility ATV and side-by-side tires in the ever-growing segment. Rhett Turpin, director of sales for the Powersports Division at parent company The Carlstar Group, said ITP Tires is focusing on the Baja Cross, Baja Cross Sport and Ultra Cross R Spec heading into the summer months.

The Mud Lite II for side-by-sides and utility ATVs is one of ITP’s most trusted products and is leading sales in 2017.

“We have placed an increased effort in enhancing our digital presence for consumers. We have invested and grown our social media presence across all platforms, launched promotions and programs for the consumer, and in Q3 plan to launch a total overhaul of our ITP Tires website. We also leverage our Team ITP racers, who provide tremendous real-life examples of how our products perform,” Turpin said.

Overall, Turpin said ITP has experienced slight growth in the past year of sales, which he attributes to a combination of factors, including the soft OEM market. As interest in the ATV and UTV segments continues to grow, consumer trends are beginning to emerge. Within the tire and wheel market, Turpin is seeing a draw for “larger diameters and higher load and speed requirements.”

Of the products it carries, Turpin said ITP’s Mud Lite II, Ultra Cross, Blackwater Evolution and Storm Series tires have had a strong start to the year. “It’s a good combination of newer technology that we have released into the marketplace and some of our more trusted products that have helped set industry standards for performance,” he said.

The Mud Lite II tire is intended for use with ATVs or side-by-sides. It features a redesigned tread pattern, which provides better traction, improves mud clean-out and maximizes rider comfort. It is available in sizes 25-30 inches tall, on 12- and 14-inch rims. The Mud Lite II also has updated shoulder protection, mud breaking lugs and stabilizing cords to reduce flex.

ITP Tires’ Tsunami wheel, part of its Storm Series,
is currently leading the company’s offerings with
strong sales.

ITP’s Tsunami wheel, the first ITP wheel in the Storm Series product line, is equipped with eight sets of X-shape wheel spokes. The wheel design includes ITP’s exclusive “Rock Armor” inner wheel lip, which provides increased structural integrity. In addition, the Tsunami wheel is covered under ITP’s lifetime structural warranty.

Currently, Turpin said ITP is offering a summer promotion featuring the Baja Cross, Blackwater Evolution and Ultra Cross products, until June 15. ITP Tires is dedicated to supporting its dealer network and growing its business in 2017.

“We are currently running a consumer rebate program on these products that our dealer network can take advantage of. We manage the entire process on our end, so no additional work is required,” said Turpin. Dealers who are a part of ITP’s network can visit Rebates.ITPTires.com for more information.
