Rockford Fosgate announces audio products for YXZ, RZR

Rockford Fosgate has been working away at developing audio products for side-by-sides and other powersports vehicles.

The following is news on some of their latest products.

Yamaha YXZ Audio Solutions

Rockford Fosgate is proud to announce the launch of a new line of motorsports audio solutions specific to select 2016-17 Yamaha YXZ side-by-side models. All audio solution lines for 2016-17 Yamaha YXZ1000R and 2017 YXZ1000R SS models are scheduled to ship in Q1.

“With the ever growing popularity of the Yamaha YXZ and the limited high quality audio offerings available, we have developed multiple class leading kits that offer options for source unit integration to complete high performance audio solutions,” explained Jake Braaten, Rockford vice president of New Product Development and Engineering. “All of the products are designed to perform while out in the elements, and we keep the installation simple by offering very efficient plug-and-play kits designed to fit factory locations on the YXZ. Our systems are engineered and tested to last, no matter whether in the mud, sand, or on rough mountain trails.”

From as low as $349.99 for a YXZ-STAGE1 solution up to a modest $2,299.99 for a complete YXZ-STAGE5 400-watt amplified audio system including four speakers and subwoofer, Rockford Fosgate has all the gear anyone could ever need. All system components carry the legendary Rockford Fosgate sound signature while meeting element-ready standards for outdoor situations, including rain, wind, dust and UV protection.

Rockford Fosgate plans to ship audio solutions for the Yamaha YXZ1000R in the first quarter.

Stage 5 Premium Audio Kit

The new Stage 5 Audio Kit Solution (RZR-STAGE5) is now shipping. Using Rockford Fosgate’s premium Power Series components, the top-of-the-line RZR-STAGE5 has an MSRP of $3,599.99.

“With the overall success of the existing stage 1-4 solutions, Rockford created the ultimate off-road listening experience by offering higher quality speakers, more amplifier power, and a high output subwoofer in the Stage 5,” Braaten said.

The new RZR-STAGE5 is a complete audio kit with a PMX-2 stereo in the cockpit controlling 1,150 watts of power. Tasked with harnessing all of the power is a 10-inch Power subwoofer hidden under the front dash and four Element Ready Punch speakers. All of the enclosures are purpose built for performance while offering quick and simple installation with little modification to the RZR.

Rockford Fosgate also offers Polaris RZR kits ranging from Stage 1 (RZR-STAGE1) to Stage 4 (RZR-STAGE4), as well as the MOTO-REAR1 add-on Rear Speaker Kit (for use with RZR-STAGE2 and RZR-STAGE3 Kits), with prices ranging from $349.99 to $2,199.99.

5-Channel amplifier

The new Element-Ready Power Series TM1000X5ad 5-Channel amplifier is now available with an MSRP of $1,049.99. Designed to withstand the outdoor elements, whether on sand, surf, or the open road, this marine-grade, high-efficient amplifier combined with a compact chassis makes it perfect for small cars, trucks, watercraft, motorcycles and
side-by-sides.

“The Element-Ready TM1000X5ad is built on our proprietary Class ad platform designed to deliver unprecedented sound quality with superior power efficiency in a small chassis,” explained Braaten. “The TM1000X5ad is protected against dust, UV and corrosion with marine grade two-part epoxy coating on circuit boards, and features stainless hardware. Combined with our Constant Power technology, this amplifier can easily exceed its rated power by up to 25 percent additional output per channel.”

The amplifier’s top mounted controls include Rockford’s C.L.E.A.N. level setting system, integrated high/ low pass crossovers, input channel configuration switches, and a Punch EQ boost circuit. Upgraded input RCA connectors allow for high or low level input signals to be used through the differential input circuit, which eliminates incoming noise and can provide a remote out signal when using high level inputs. Dual fan cooling, real time thermal monitoring and dual extruded heat sinks maintain heat dissipation even at high outputs, thus keeping the amp cool. The TM1000X5ad is also compatible with Rockford’s PLC2 level remote control, thus allowing remote output level control of the sub channel.
