Motus adds four West Coast dealers

After revealing eight initial dealers in March, Motus is expanding its network with the addition of four new dealers in the Western U.S. With the addition of authorized Motus dealers in the Seattle area, the East Bay area of Northern California, Reno, Nev., and Las Vegas, Motus is increasing its number of retail outlets and geographical footprint as it approaches production late this fall.

“We are really proud of our growing network of Authorized Motus Dealers,” Motus vice president Brian Case said. “Each has a track record of superior customer satisfaction and passion about carrying our line of comfortable American sport bikes.”

“These West Coast dealers are all fantastic stores run by great business people and serious enthusiasts. We are excited to welcome them aboard and look forward to working closely and growing the brand together,” Motus president Lee Conn said, “and our search for other great dealers continues.”

Motus is accepting applications from existing, high-caliber stores looking to add American sport bikes to their existing lineup. The Motus dealer program is appealing in terms of its simplicity, limited start-up costs and other barriers to entry.

The Motus MST and the premium MST-R are comfortable sport bikes designed for long-range canyon carving, solo or two-up. Both are powered by V4 Baby Block engines and both are offered with various accessories and upgrade options.

The latest additions to the Authorized Motus Dealer network are:

California Speed-Sports, Livermore, Calif.: “California Speed-Sports is looking forward to this exciting partnership with Motus Motorcycles. This is the American-made motorcycle we’ve always hoped for, with the components, craftsmanship, ingenuity and performance to compete with the best from around the world. Founded in 1996 and based in the East Bay area of Northern California, California Speed-Sports is a high-end dealership with a long history of community involvement and fulfilling clients’ powersports needs with unparalleled service. We feel Motus Motorcycles is the pinnacle of American-made motorcycles and will position well with our other premium brands MV Agusta, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Can-Am.” — Kregg Williams, owner.

Freedom Cycle Reno, Reno, Nev., and Freedom Cycle Vegas, Las Vegas:
“When we first heard about Motus, we were instantly intrigued by the concept of a comfortable American sport bike inspired by modern V8 supercars. With championships in NHRA Pro Stock drag racing and our own line of high-performance parts for Harley-Davidsons, we are no strangers to American muscle and pushrod ‘V’ engines, so Motus just makes a lot of sense to us, and we are excited to offer the MSTs to our customers. Our Triumph dealership has a number of national sales and service awards, so our friends at Motus can feel comfortable knowing we will take great care customers in our Reno store and in our soon-to-be-opened Las Vegas location. We can’t wait to get our hands on the V4 Baby Block engines, too!” — Mark and Brad Yuill, owners

Hinshaw’s Motorcycle Store, Auburn, Wash.: “Hinshaw’s Motorcycle Store came to life in 1961 with the introduction of Honda motorcycles into the U.S. With an eye for innovative products and a passion for motorcycling, we have continued to grow over the years and now proudly carry Victory, KTM, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki. We are the oldest continually operating motorcycle dealership in the Northwest as well as one of the most successful and largest in western Washington. We see the addition of Motus to our lineup as a perpetuation of what Hinshaw’s has been saying for years — ‘Sellin’ Fun Since ’61.’ We look forward to growing with Motus into the future.” — Ron Orr, owner.
