August 8, 2011 – Lemco, 66, dies of cancer

Ed Lemco, who spent more than 30 years in the powersports industry, passed away July 15 after a bout with lung cancer.
Lemco, the former owner of Lemco Management Group, was the founder and executive director of the National Council of Motorcycle Dealer Associations. A columnist for Powersports Business until 2009, Lemco, 66, most recently operated a call center for dealers in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
Lemco, who passed away at Tuft’s Medical Center in Boston, is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Connie, and daughters Linda, Laura and Lisa.
To celebrate and honor Ed’s life and his long history and many contributions over the years to the motorcycle industry, a memorial service was held July 25, in Newport, R.I., where Ed and Connie had permanently relocated after 10 years in the Virgin Islands. Powersports dealers from across the U.S. were in attendance.
