Yoshimura’s training program a hit with dealers

Dealers were abuzz at the Tucker Rocky Dealer Show about Yoshimura R&D of America’s new consumer and dealer training program.

“Team Yoshimura Training” will help dealers and consumers speak the language of Yoshimura, a manufacturer of aftermarket exhaust pipes.

The two-stage platform was developed in conjunction with Systematyx Inc. to inform consumers and provide frontline parts employees with an exciting and rewarding tool while gaining company and product knowledge.

A consumer accessible quiz with an accompanying study guide reveals basic history and facts presented in an easy and interesting format, with graduates of the 20-question quiz receiving a foil embossed certificate that identifies them and their dealership. Graduates are prompted to enroll in the more advanced second stage.

The password-protected second phase is designed to familiarize the student with materials, processes and support “systems” that Yoshimura offers a consumer. It is structured to establish a relationship between the student and Yoshimura R&D. Graduates can expect to invest about an hour getting through this phase and are rewarded with an exclusive carbon fiber award that doubles as a pen holder with their name laser-etched on a titanium nameplate (a $65 value). Yoshimura will stay in contact with these Team Champions with monthly newsletters announcing upcoming products and race team updates. Graduates are also invited to visit Yoshimura’s Chino, Calif., facility for guided tours of Racing, R&D and Manufacturing.

The program launched over the weekend at the Tucker Rocky Show, with dozens of Tucker Rocky reps and dealership personnel having enrolled within hours of its debut.
