Suzuki introduces 2012 off-road lineup
Suzuki has announced its 2012 off-road lineup, which includes a new sport ATV and two new off-road motorcycles.
The QuadSport Z400 is Suzuki’s latest sport ATV. It features a 398cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection, as well as electric start and reverse gear. It will be available in dealerships in the fall.
The DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L join the off-road motorcycle lineup as entry-point bikes for young riders. Both are mid-sized motorcycles with 124cc 4-stroke powerplants with tractable torque with wide powerband for smooth, consistent performance. The bodywork, fuel tank and two-toned seat and number plates are derived from Suzuki’s RM-Z competition motocross bikes. Both also feature dual hydraulic disc brakes. The DR-Z125 has a 17-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, while the DR-Z125L has a 19-inch front wheel and a 16-inch rear wheel, so the bikes suit a range of young riders.
Six KingQuad utility sport ATVs will also be in the 2012 lineup. The KingQuad 750AXi and KingQuad 750AXi Power Steering feature adjustable, independent A-arm front suspension, locking front differential, high/low-selectable subtransmission and a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled powerplant with fuel injection. The KingQuad 500AXi and KingQuad 500AXi Power Steering have a fuel-injected 4-stroke, liquid-cooled 493cc engine and lightweight chassis with adjustable, independent A-arm front suspension, easily-selectable push-button 2WD/4WD operation and selectable high/low range. Suzuki’s fuel-injected KingQuad 400FSi and KingQuad 400ASi models are the only utility ATVs in their class available in both manual and automatic transmission. They include features like dual front hydraulic disc brakes, easily-selectable 2WD/4WD options with selectable high/low subtransmission and convenient features like LCD digital instrumentation.
The Ozark 250 rounds out the utility sport ATV lineup with a 246cc 4-stroke powerplant, independent A-arm front suspension, swingarm rear suspension and sleek modern styling.
