Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. is surveying its customers on their preferred colors and graphics for the WaveRunner.
The company sent out an email to customers asking each to take a survey here. Survey takers are asked if they own, have owned or plan to purchase a PWC in the next one to three years.
Yamaha also inquires about the characteristics of styles and graphics that suit customers’ personalities, which are chosen from a list of 25 attributes, including phrases like bright, flashy, unique, aggressive, elegant and simple luxury. Next, they are given 20 graphics designs and asked to rate each on how appealing it is. Then they are asked to choose their favorite graphics package and explain why it’s their favorite, and next, do the same for their least favorite package. Customers are then asked about their ideal riding experiences and demographic information.
