American Beta announces 2012 RR lineup

American Beta has released four models into its RR model lineup — the 350, 400, 450 and 498.

The 2012 350 RR, which will retail at $8,599, provides a two-stroke feel, while offering the traction and smooth power delivery of a four-stroke, according to the company. “Beta feels this is the ultimate single-track motorcycle as its ability to change direction is unmatched while still offering enough torque and power for both play riders and racers,” the company said in a press release.

The 450 RR includes a range of updates, including a redesigned cylinder head with an updated cam chain tensioner to help reduce engine noise, new clutch primary gear and springs, increased oil volume to the engine cam chain, a new oil drain plug for easier oil changes, an all-new Sachs 48mm fork with TFX technology, new SKF fork seals and wipers, a redesigned frame, a new red color and more. It will retail for $8,799.

The 498 RR, formerly the 520 RR, will hit showrooms at $8,899, while the 400 RR will sell for $8,699. All four new models will be available beginning in August and September, though limited quantities will be available on the first shipments. American Beta is recommending customers contact their local Beta dealer now if they wish to reserve a 2012 RR early. Also, the Build Your Own Beta (BYOB) program will also return for 2012.
