Ducati recalls 1,000 motorcycles
Ducati is recalling 1,051 2011 Diavels and 2010-11 Multistradas because of an issue with the steering lock capabilities.
The electronic steering lock may fail to disengage during the “key-on” process, causing the engine to start while the lock is still engaged, according to the recall issued with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The problem has been linked to a revision of the hands-free device software. No injuries were reported with the recall.
Dealers will update the software on the hand-free control starting in May.
