Husqvarna, BMW add to team
Husqvarna North America and its parent company BMW have added new members to their team.
Stefan Christman has joined the Motorcycles Controlling Team based in BMW’s Woodcliff Lake, N.J., headquarters. The newly restructured controlling team combines BMW and Husqvarna staff for better economy of scale, according to a press release from the companies.
In his new role, Christman will be responsible for the planning and target achievement for Husqvarna, focusing on value planning, sales allowances, overhead, headcount and overall profitability. Also, as he is fluent in English and Italian, he will help facilitate communications between Husqvarna’s factory in Varese, Italy. Christman previously served as an internal audit manager for Nationwide Insurance and spent five years as a senior consultant with Ernst & Young.
“Stefan will provide a full scope of controlling expertise and management support for Husqvarna,” Tomas Valero-Ribes, department manager for Controlling and Credit Management, said in the release. “He will serve as the key interface partner with Husqvarna HQ in Italy.”
Also recently announced was the hiring of Jon Foster as Husqvarna North America’s sales planner. Foster is moving to Husqvarna from BMW. His new role will include managing the complete pipeline for motorcycle inventory, analyzing sales trends and assisting dealers in managing stock.
“Jon is a seasoned pro, and with more than 30 years experience in BMW’s retail and wholesale operations, he knows what the dealers are facing first hand,” Husqvarna Motorcycles North America’s national marketing manager Corey Eastman said in a release.
