New Jersey residents can now buy on Sundays
Dealers in New Jersey rejoice: You can now sell motorcycles on Sundays!
Legislation allowing just that was signed into law Thursday by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Interestingly, the new law does not affect the state’s continued ban on selling autos on Sunday, according to NJ.com. That online report also reported state Sen. Donald Norcross said the new law came about after a Harley-Davidson dealer complained they were losing sales on Sundays to neighboring states.
The dealership, Barb’s Harley-Davidson, is open on Sundays for parts and service but previously was not permitted to sell or offer to sell a motorcycle on Sundays.
