Polaris sales rise in multiple categories

Increasing sales of side-by-sides, ATVs and Victory Motorcycles significantly boosted Polaris Industries sales in its third quarter, the company reported.

Polaris achieved a 33 percent sales increase over the year-ago quarter, totaling $580 million in revenue and record earnings per share in the quarter.

Polaris’ largest category, its off-road division, produced a revenue rise of 49 percent over the year-ago period thanks to sale increases in both its ATV and UTV categories.

The company’s on-road division, led by Victory Motorcycles, also saw increased retail sales. Victory’s retail sales rose more than 50 percent for the quarter, its second consecutive quarter of double-digit percentage increases.

Polaris also noted it is currently seeing slight increases in its number of side-by-side and Victory dealers.
