Aftermarket company has new owner
A Minnesota-based industry aftermarket and private label supplier has been sold.
Symtec Inc., which manufactures heated grips, seat heaters and other comfort accessories for motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles, was purchased by The Harlan Co., according to a press release.
The Harlan Co. was founded in 2009 to “capitalize on organizations that have a strong track record of robust, innovative design and precision manufacturing,” according to the press release.
“I am very excited about the acquisition of Symtec,” Riley Harlan, president of The Harlan Co., said in the press release. “Symtec’s stellar reputation, trend-setting products and strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers and dealers form a strong foundation for future growth of Symtec and The Harlan Co.”
G-Force Consulting Inc.’s Gary Gustafson was the lead consultant on the acquisition. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“In the short term, our primary focus will be on expanding sales and marketing to inform people on how our comfort products improve the riding experience,” Harlan said.
